In the September issue of Esquire, Woody Harrelson talked about passing on the 1996 film “Jerry Maguire” that starred Tom Cruise.
He said, “I was offered ‘Jerry Maguire,’ and I said to Jim, one of the film’s producers, ‘Nobody is going to give a sh-t about an agent.’”
Jerry Maguire not only brought in big money at the box office, it also snagged five Oscar nominations including a Best Actor nod for Cruise. His co-star Cuba Gooding Jr won for Best Supporting Actor.
