BIG BUCKET OF NOPE RIGHT HERE. A dude staying at a lodge in Tasmania, Australia, saw something that could be straight out of a horror movie: a large huntsman spider eating what looks like a pygmy possum.

Oh yeah…the spider knew what it was doing. It hung onto the side of the door, pounced on the prey and savagely slipped away. You can’t unsee it…and we may never sleep again.

Graham Milledge, the manager of the Australia Museum arachnology collection, spoke with The Guardian and described the scene playing out in the pictures as “rare.” He said, “It’s the first time I’ve seen a pygmy possum as prey.” According to him, huntsman spiders usually eat small birds, frogs and geckos.
