A software engineer from Michigan ended up on Broadway starring as Elphaba in Wicked thanks to a last minute call from desperate producers!

This is so cool! Carla Stickler was given 24 hours notice that she had to hop a plane from Michigan on one of the worst travel days of the year last month to play Elphaba in Wicked on Broadway in New York City! Now she isn’t just a random software engineer with no experience…she actually played that role from 2010 through 2015 before switching careers. Still, she had 7 days to get back in the swing of things and nailed it!
