Seems like we’ve been waiting FOREVER for the fourth season of Netflix’s Stranger Things, which is now in production after several delays due to the ongoing pandemic.

During an appearance on CBC Listen, Finn Wolfhard, who plays Mike Wheeler, is dropping a little nugget for us by saying it will be the “darkest season” yet. He says they are amping up the sadness…but also the comedy!

“Every season it gets darker. Really, I will say with Season 3 I was like, this is the darkest season that there’ll ever be, like the exploding rats and everything. But really, Season 4 so far, it’s the darkest season there’s ever been,” Wolfhard said. “Every year, it gets amped up. Every year it gets funnier and darker and sadder, and everything. Every year, they amp it up.”

While we don’t know many plot details, we do know the fourth season will address the fate of fan-favorite character Jim Hopper after he was locked up in a Russian prison following his “death” in the season three finale. So let’s get geared up with bloopers from season 3!
