What “Old Town Road” Did For This Little Boy With Autism

“Old Town Road” is proving to be a miracle for this young boy with non-verbal autism.

A Minnesota mom named Sheletta Brundidge has a young son, Daniel, who is autistic and doesn’t speak. This week, she noticed him humming and then singing Lil Nas X’s ‘Old Town Road.’

She wrote, “we had an #oldtownroad miracle at my house. My son, Daniel has autism and doesn’t talk.” She went on to say that Daniel was humming then started singing.

Lil Nas X saw the tweet/video and retweeted with the message, “what a king.”

We agree!

She said that parents of non-verbal autistic children can appreciate what a “miracle” it was to hear Daniel suddenly sing.  In fact, His therapist has even started to include the song in their session.
