Tornadoes ripped through Ohio and Indiana Monday night.

Here’s the thing, instead of being concerned about the destruction, some viewers were concerned about missing “The Bachelorette”. After Monday night’s episode was interrupted by a severe weather update alerting Dayton, Ohio, that a tornado was heading that way, local meteorologist Jamie Simpson started hearing from fans of the show on social media.

He was live on the air when the complaints came in. He said: “Viewers are complaining already, ‘Just go back to the show.’ No. We’re not going back to the show, folks. This is a dangerous situation, OK? Think about if it was your neighborhood. I’m sick and tired of people complaining about this. Our job here is to keep people safe and that’s what we’re going to do. Some people complaining that it’s all about my ego—stop. Just stop right now. It’s not. I’m done with you people. I really am. This is pathetic.

He later apologized, but only for the way he got his point across.
