These Places Are Giving Free Food to Healthcare Workers During COVID-19 Outbreak

As the COVID-19 pandemic continues around the world, healthcare workers are on the front line tirelessly treating those who are ill. To show their appreciation, many restaurants, fast-food chains, and other companies have started offering free food and drinks to first responders and hospital staff. Below we’ve outlined the details of each deal and how long it’s being offered.

As always, these are subject to change and may vary by location, but we’ll do our best to keep this updated as time goes on.

1. White Castle

Through the end of April, healthcare workers and EMTs can receive one free Combo Meal or Breakfast Combo when they go through the drive-thru and show their work ID.

2. Krispy Kreme

Krispy Kreme is giving healthcare workers free dozens of donuts every Monday through mid-May.

3. Chipotle

Chipotle is giving away 100,000 free burritos to healthcare workers in honor of National Burrito Day on April 2.

4. Reed’s

Reed’s, which is known best for its ginger beer, will sending “The Green Machine” to local hospitals, fire stations, and medical centers in the LA, OC and San Diego county areas to give out free products.

5. Tropical Smoothie Cafe

The chain is giving 100,000 smoothies to first responders.

6. Sweetgreen

The brand has been delivering free salads to healthcare workers, and is now raising funds with World Central Kitchen to donate 100,000 meals to healthcare workers.

7. Circle K

Healthcare workers and first responders can get free coffee, tea, and Polar Pop Fountain drinks through the end of April.

8. Starbucks

Any customer who identifies as a “first responder or frontline worker supporting our healthcare system” will receive a free tall brewed coffee at the chain through May 3.
