Taylor Swift Remembers 9/11 Before Accepting VMA
Taylor Swift was tactful in first honoring the anniversary of a national tragedy before celebrating her win for Best Collaboration for “Fortnight” with Post Malone at the 2024 VMAs.
Waking up this morning in New York on September 11th, I’ve just been thinking about what happened 23 years ago. Everyone who lost a loved one and everyone that we lost.
She continued the speech by thanking those who made the song a success and called Post Malone “everyone in music’s favorite person to collaborate with.” Post Malone returned her compliment called her “one of the most kind and talent people I’ve ever had the honor of knowing.”

She also shouted out “my boyfriend, Travis” when accepting Video of the Year…which gives her a total of 30 Moonmen, tying Beyonce for the most ever.
