Taylor Swift Makes Album Announcement During VMAs

Taylor Swift, while accepting the Moon Person for video of the year at the 2022 MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday, announced that her tenth original full-length studio album will drop on October 21st.

That win made her the first artist to win video of the year three times, and also the first winner to direct their own video.

Later, in an Instagram post, she announced that the album is called “Midnights”, and called it, “a collection of music written in the middle of the night, a journey through terrors and sweet dreams.”
