Taylor Swift is no stranger to giving back to charities, but even more so, surprising unsuspecting people and their GoFundMe accounts. On Tuesday, Taylor and her mother made a $50,000 donation to a woman who lost her husband to COVID-19.

Vickie Quarles, a Tennessee mother of five who lost her husband just before Christmas in 2020, was unable to accompany her husband, Theodis Ray Quarles, to the hospital as he had breathing difficulties.

Hours later the mother of seven was contacted by the hospital and told her husband had died. With Taylor’s donation, the GoFundMe page has currently raised $61,618.
