Taylor Swift “All Too Well: The Short Film”

Taylor Swift has been re-recording her old works. Along with the release of “Red (Taylor’s Version)” comes some bonus songs that weren’t on the original!  One of the bonuses is a 10 minute version of her song, “All Too Well” and a short film written and directed by Taylor herself!

But here’s the fun fact: this 10-minute version confirms song is definitely about Jake Gyllenhaal. That has always been the assumption, but new lyrics reveal WHY Jake decided to end their relationship after just three months. It seems that Taylor and Jake‘s nine-year age difference led to their relationship’s end. When they first started dating, she was 20 and he was 29. In the fourth verse, Taylor sings, “And I was never good at telling jokes but the punch line goes / I’ll get older but your lovers stay my age.”

Another fun fact: Jake‘s current girlfriend Jeanne Cadieu is actually 15 years younger than him, so age doesn’t seem to be a concern anymore.
