Sabrina Carpenter Gets Extraterrestrial In VMAs Mashup Performance

It’s no surprise that Sabrina Carpenter chose to do a mashup of her biggest songs at the 2024 VMAs. She gave the crowd “Please Please Please” with “Taste” and “Espresso” in just four minutes and she still had time to make out with an alien!

Around the :45 mark of her performance, you can hear a similar sound to Britney Spears’ “Oops… I Did It Again!” music video. That said, Sabrina is playing a woman walking among aliens and astronauts during her performance, too. It’s clear this is another nod to the Princess of Pop as other stars channeled Britney as well during the awards show.

Later on, Sabrina was awarded Song of the Year for “Espresso!”
