The line between pop and country music has been blurred over time, so many of the artists we play were up for country music awards this year. Not all of them were nominated at the CMAs, though. Beyoncé did not receive any nods for the upcoming show after putting out her country album in March 2024, Cowboy Carter, which featured country icons like Willie Nelson and Dolly Parton.

Some of her other collaborators, Post Malone and Shaboozey, on the other hand, did receive nominations for their country works.

Post Malone, who just put out his country album in August 2024, F-1 Trillion, is up for four awards all for “I Had Some Help” with Morgan Wallen:

  • Single of the Year
  • Song of the Year
  • Musical Event of the Year
  • Music Video of the Year

“I Had Some Help” was also named the top Song of the Summer according to Billboard earlier this year.

Shaboozey is up for two awards at this year’s CMAs:

  • Single of the Year, “A Bar Song (Tipsy)”
  • New Artist of the Year

“A Bar Song (Tipsy)” landed at #2 on the Songs of the Summer list from Billboard.

Beyoncé has mentioned before that she was fueled to make a country album due to not feeling welcome in that part of the industry. The Today Show is waiting to hear back for comment from Bey’s camp now regarding the snub.
