Mikki The Elephant Gave Birth

Mikki, the Louisville Zoo’s 33-year-old African elephant, gave birth to a male calf on Friday!
It is only the second elephant born at the Louisville Zoo in the Zoo’s 50-year history.
Mikki gave birth after nearly a 22-month gestation (651 days)!
Right now, Mikki and her new calf will be bonding and won’t be on display at the Louisville Zoo.
