Kentucky Derby Museum “Right to Ride” Exhibit Now Open

Don’t miss these trailblazing female jockeys on display now at the brand new “Right to Ride” exhibit at the Kentucky Derby Museum! Right to Ride tells the stories of fearless female jockeys who bucked convention in a male-dominated sport to do what they loved: ride fast horses. They blazed trails and changed laws. In the late ‘60s and early ‘70s, these heroes made it possible for future generations of female jockeys to enjoy their right to ride in the great sport of Thoroughbred racing. And thereby became their heroes.

The exhibit includes first hand interviews with these amazing women who shared first-hand experiences of what they endured, which are relatable to women and marginalized communities who continue to strive for equality.
