Indiana Slowing Down Reopening Efforts Due to COVID-19

Governor Holcomb is slowing down the Hoosiers due to rising cases of the coronavirus. As opposed to reaching full capacity again this weekend, Indiana is going to hit “pause”. Especially with the Fourth of July being this weekend.

He’s calling it “Phase 4.5”. This means capacities will remain where they were in phase 4 instead of opening fully as planned.

The governor did say they will be loosening some restrictions on outdoor activities since those tend to be safer.

Gov. Holcomb said #Indiana was going to move to phase 5, but instead will take a "cautious step forward." That plan is to now move the state into phase 4.5 from July 4 to July 17.
