What a saga this has been for Tessica Brown, who went viral this month after she thought Gorilla Glue brand adhesive spray would be a good hairspray substitute. She took her plight to social media when she discovered she couldn’t get the glue out of her hair, and everything she tried burned her scalp.

So Beverly Hills plastic surgeon, Dr. Michael Obeng, flew her to L.A. this week to have a procedure worth as estimated $12,500 to finally get the glue out. It took him about 4 hours and she was under a light anesthesia. He looked up the main active ingredient in Gorilla Blue and figured out the science in breaking it down.

He hopes others can learn from her mistake saying “Make sure that any time you guys grab something, make sure you read it.”
