Dustin Diamond Has Passed Away at 44 After a Brief Battle With Cancer

Dustin Diamond, best known for his role as Screech on ‘Saved by the Bell’, has passed away at age 44 after a very brief battle with stage 4 lung cancer. It has only been weeks since the announcement came out that he had been diagnosed.

This is so sad.

His manager confirmed the news saying that it was the carcinoma that took his life shortly after his cancer battle began.

Mark-Paul Gosselaar issued a statement to People saying: “I’m deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Dustin Diamond, a true comedic genius. My sincere condolences to his family and friends. Looking back at our time working together, I will miss those raw, brilliant sparks that only he was able to produce. A pie in your face, my comrade.”
