Disney Has It’s Fifth Billion Dollar Movie THIS YEAR
Disney announced that Toy Stoy 4 crossed the $1 billion mark nearly two months after its release, making it their fifth billion-dollar grossing movie of 2019. Aladdin, The Lion King, Captain Marvel, and Avengers: Endgame — all crossed that mark, and they’re not done. Keep in mind we’ve got ‘Frozen 2’ this November!
Other Pixar movies that have made over a billion: Incredibles 2, Finding Dory, and Toy Story 3. The film’s $1,001.7 M haul makes it the eighth-highest-grossing animated movie of all time. Brearking it down…it’s made $421.8 million in domestic ticket sales, coupled with $579.9 million from foreign territories, including Japan ($76.5 million), the U.K. ($75.2 million), and Mexico ($71.8 million), with future theatrical bows still slated for Germany and across Scandinavia.
