Cotton Candy Cakes Are A Thing

Sweet Fluffe Cotton Candy Creations makes gorgeous, totally unique “cakes” that are actually made out of cotton candy. Owner Sherri Kelly makes them by molding cotton candy in plastic cake molds so they hold their shape. There is no frosting in sight, no baking required—just a bunch of colorful, fluffy strands of spun sugar.

There are 13 different flavors of cotton candy you can choose from—banana, birthday cake, bubble gum, cherry, grape, green apple, lemon, lime, orange, pink vanilla, raspberry, strawberry, and watermelon—that Sherri can make in some amazing designs for every single occasion. The result is a rainbow-colored, sugary wonderland. Seriously, just take a look at some of the snaps from the company’s Instagram.

“The messages I get after the parties and the calls that we get [are incredible]. It’s like one cake that goes to one event hits 20 other people, and they’re like, ‘I saw your cake. I’ve never seen anything like that!'” Sherri told Insider: “It’s just so flattering and makes [me] happy that people like them that much.”

Just like cake, these treats can be cut with any long knife. Unlike most cakes, they’re peanut-free, gluten-free, and trans-fat free. Sherri and her team make the cakes in Toronto, but they can be delivered all over North America. If cakes are not your thing, they also sell bags of delicious cotton candy you can snack on.
