Cameron Diaz believes she was unwittingly used as a drug “mule” while trying to start a modeling career in the early 90s.

She talked about it on the Second Life podcast last week, about moving to Paris to kick start her modeling career after saving up money from catalog work.  “I didn’t work a day,” “I was there a full year and I didn’t work one day. I couldn’t book a job to save my life. I got like one job, but really I think I was like a mule carrying drugs to Morocco — I swear to God. “It was before TSA [Transportation Security Administration] or anything like that,” she added. “It was like early ’90s. They gave me a suitcase that was locked that had my ‘costumes’ in it — quote, unquote.”

After leaving Hollywood in 2018 to start a family with husband Benji Madden, she’s getting back in the acting game for a new Netflix movie starring Jamie Foxx called, appropriately, “Back In Action.”
