The original “Avatar” was unleased upon the world in 2009, and now the sequel finally has a title: Avatar: The Way Of Water. You are about to get your first glimpse of the teaser trailer if you happen to go see Doctor Strange In The Multiverse of Madness on May 6th.  If you don’t no worries you can find it online a week later.

And James Cameron is just getting warmed up with this one…there are actually 4 upcoming sequels in the franchise. “Each story will be a standalone and each will come to its own conclusion,” producer Jon Landau explained this week. There will be a “fulfilling resolution to each film, but when looked at as a whole the journey across all four will create a larger epic saga.”

Cameron promised: “Every shot is designed for the biggest screen, highest resolution and most immersive 3D available.” The original 2009 Avatar film will be re-released in theaters with restored picture and sound on September 23rd. Avatar 2 hits theaters December 16th. Avatar 3 will follow in 2024, Avatar 4 in 2026, and Avatar 5 in 2028.
