Louisville City FC
, Louisville's new pro-soccer team, introduced its logo last week.... annnnnnnnnnd everyone LOVED it (shakes head 'no')!!
Actually, people were saying it looked ugly, amateurish, and quickly showed that they could do better.
So, being reasonable, the team decided to announce it would hold a fan contest to pick a new one. Team owner Wayne Estopinal said:
"When you start looking at everything and realize it's got to be the size of a postage stamp of an envelope and you realize it's also got to be the size of a banner at Slugger Field, you see how varied it is. We really need some people to advise us."
... BUT there are rules:
- Designers must include a Fleur-de-lis, representative of Louisville;
- The color purple for the affiliated Orlando City Soccer Club;
- A bourbon barrel.
- Finally, as with the original logo, it must be shaped in a "crest/badge format.
You've got to get them in by Tuesday June 17th, with the winning submission announced on June 22nd.
